Group meeting at Somerset House!

On a chilly Friday evening, we gathered at Somerset to take group shot intended to be slotted as an introduction for our presentation.

The Christmassy atmosphere coincides with our advert theme of Christmas, of course.

Progress of B2 Presentation during Seminar

Yay, attendance of 3 for our marketing seminar today.

Pam and Quincy, hope you guys get well soon!

The 3 of us- Anwui, Karolina and myself, gave our presentation on the progress of our group and we were really satisfied because we seem to be the group who has completed the furthest progress so far (with our advert completed and report completed).

It was useful listening to the presentations of other groups. Some of them had really interesting brand selections like Barbie and Itunes.

Nevertheless, B2's goal is to submit this in by the beginning of Week 10, and we're sure we can achieve it!

Cheers

Commercial filming process

So, my lovely group members came to my flat at noon for a day of video shooting!

Armed with cups of costa coffee which helpfully injected caffeine into our bloodstream (to last us through the day), they all gathered in the lounge.
I changed into my outfit for Mrs Claus and Quincy (my supposed husband in this commercial) had to bulk up his tummy with cushions.

Scene 1 Take 1

ACTION!

It took us about 8 shots to be finally satisfied with the scene. And of course, a thorough practice of the script between me and Quincy and a few tweaks to our lines in order to shorter it to a max of 10 sec (due to the advert being only 30sec).

Next, the shot of children receiving their Christmas gifts!
Karolina, Pam and Anwui came into my room and we used the window sill with the lovely curtains as a backdrop.

Sneak preview of one of the NG shots:

Scene 3 Take 10;
ACTION!

This scene took us a total of 13 shots! But we managed to perfect it alas :)

-----------------------------------------------------

After 3 hours,

IT'S A WRAP!

We're all satisfied and excited to piece the shots together.

Coupled with effects and background music (the most appropriate Christmas songs, we're such geniuses!), we can't wait to create the perfect BA advert for everyone to view!

Progress report meeting

So, three of our group members were down today :(
This left Anwui and myself to finish up a progress report presentation of our Group's project within the 1 hour break we had between lectures.

We went to the PAWS room and worked on it, churning out 10 slides in total.

We have almost finished up our individual writings for the report and are going to get it combined and polished this weekend.

The light at the end of the tunnel, we see it.

Officially the first group meeting outside lecture hours

All 5 of us came together on a Monday morning of Reading Week, sat down and started some serious cracking on the advert concept for our project.

We put forth all the research or knowledge that we had of BA's current disappointing situation in the society, economy and market.

Snippet of B2 working hard in the Maths Room, Strand Campus:

We've decided to finish filming our advert by this week!

After watching numerous commercials of various airlines (Singapore Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Emirates and Air France) online, we have a rough idea of the distinct ideas that each airlines applies in their respective adverts. However, BA's proves to be disappointing as their latest impactful advert is the one produced 10 years ago in 1989.

Here it is:

So, B2 once again racked our brains and squeezed every drop of creative juice out of our minds.
Thus, we have come up with a Christmas theme for our advert.

And, yours truly, was apparently appointed to be Mrs. Claus.
Quincy, being the only male species in our group will be Santa Claus.

Pam, Anwui and Karolina- the cute little children!

We have decided to film it in my flat tomorrow. Anwui and Karolina will bring some props and santa outfits. Hopefully it will be done to our best potential!

Investor Relations and annual reports

A short overview of the investor relations: http://www.bashares.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=69499&p=IROL-index

Secondly, the annual 2008/2009 report and accounts for BA. It also includes all BA current flight destination, which, as we discussed, might be one of the issues that can, perhaps, be improved.

Today, B2 Group decided on our Brand that we will earnestly wish to see improve-

British Airways.

The decision was made after much deliberation and research on the dismal placing of BA in today's market, much paler in comparison to what it was once before- the grand British Airways which dominated international flights and Europe flights.
